Hi welcome to the Forum!
1st, the best thing to do is go on the ww2 pow's section on the forum, rafboy (Cliff) is the man to ask.
2nd, this worked for me, but it was 10yrs ago, ring the British embassy in Burma and see if they will lay a wreath and take a pic or try the commonwealth war graves commission (
www.cwgc.org) cost me 25 quid
its worth asking the cwgc if mr stanton was re buried some of the lads were initialy buried in sonkria and reburied in thanbyuzat in dec.1945
3rd, on the ww2 pow section have a look at Arthur Barbers story, Cliff has put some pix on that may interest you, there is also a piece from Mr Arthur Lane thats worth reading it aint a pretty story but it needs to be told. Arthur Barber was my great uncle. (3523637 drummer 1st bttn d 28/5/43, also in thanbyuzat)
