Died Sunday 13 May 1917, Aged 30

Cut off from his platoon and severely wounded in the fighting round Bullecourt, with stretcher bearers unable to reach him because of shellfire. Was reported missing for a time, then thought to be a prisoner. He left Preston Catholic College in 1900.
