Hi I have found the Medal Roll Index Card for the above which lists as follows:

Corps - 1st Mon R
Reg No - 228731 (but also handwritten says Manch R 24851 Pte)
Date of Discharge - 11.5.17
Enlistment - 22.6.15
Cause of discharge - Para 392 (16) R R; Sickness
Action taken - List T J 330

His medals listed were the Victory & the British

I think his service records didn't make it, can anybody give me any more information please?

Hi Tracy

and welcome to the forum

this is a little difficult for us to trace him as he fell outside the original pals recruitment, he was discharged from the army under Kings Regulations 392, section 16 ie      No longer physically fit for war service, in Thomas's case it was because of sickness rather than wounds.

He must have started in the Manchesters but (perhaps after getting ill) went into The Monmouthshire Regiment this is a link to them on the Long Long Trail site monmouthshire

Unfortunately because the medals were issued by the Monmouthshire, we haven't got the details of them either, we can just say he didn't go abroad until after 31-12-1915
