If you have interests in POW's in the Greater Bolton area, the Online Parish Clerk has listed a souvenir booklet A Celebration for Prisoners returning from WW I June 1919, go to Greater Bolton look for WW1. The downloadable PDF is 2.76

Lists men from many regiments including some  Manchesters, LNL.etc. Names of the men and adddresses in the Bolton areas in a celebration for Prisoners returning from WW1 also those that died, or died at home, since repatriation plus the description of the entertaiment and the Celebratory dinner

If this has been advised elsewhere the Forum my apologies but I thought it was too good not to list it for members with soldiers from Greater Bolton.

Please Mack delete if it has.
Good luck
Pat

You are very welcome Chris and Mac I will keep an eye on the Lancashire Parish Clerk as it is such a good resource for early baptisms marriages and deaths, but my eyes nearly popped out when I saw WW1!
Good luck and kind regards.

Good to hear from you Tisgrannie and Timberman.

One never knows what unlikely places the men turn up in and I think it was very good of the LPC site to include this on their site. Wonder if Hulme and other districts did owt like this?!

Hope you all is well and you are enjoying your summer weather.
Kindest regards,
Pat

Hi Pat

I agree with Tis, having plenty of good weather does make all the difference and as my daughter said it's better than the wet stuff ;D

Hi Tis
Hope your well, I remembered someone else mentioning about putting all the links in one place. Also the fact that some of the articles can't be put in the snippets.
