« on: December 17, 2009, 06:44:33 PM »
May I wish all those who served with the Battalion in post war Germany 1948 - 1951 (Goslar, Wuppertal and Berlin) : 1954 to 1957 (Berlin and  Minden) again either as a serviceman or married families all the very best for the forthcoming festivities.
Regards,
George - B company 49 to 51; HQ from 54 to 56 then C company until back to Formby then Warley Barracks Brentwood in 1957 to the amalgamation.

And great to hear from you Tommy, very few of us left apparently from the scarcity on here. Have lost contact with most of my peers, mind you Billie Kennedy was about the last of the old crowd as I remember them. Johhnny McCabe is still with us, but again heart problems.
Take care,
Regards to all.
George.

Once again it is that time of the year when we tend to remember all the friends we had in bygone days; several of our former friends have gone in the past twelve months but there are still some soldiering on - may I wish all those in that category all the very best for the coming year, may your health improve along with the other useful attributes of happiness and wealth.
Take care snd keep warm,
George S.
