Below are XL files listing Japanese POW Record Cards that I have received photos of.  I have photos of a total of 560 Record Cards which are mainly a mix of service personnel from the Greater Manchester area including a lot of soldiers of the 1st Battalion The Manchester Regiment.
Files are in alphabetical order and list all the cards that I have photos of.  If there is no file for the first letter of a surname I do not have any cards for names begining with that letter.
Individual card photos are available for family members seeking information on their relatives time as a POW of the Japanese.
To ensure you ask for the correct card please quote Number, Rank and full name of the person who's card you would like.

Hi Cliff

Sorry, but I can't open the attachments for some reason. Is it possible to check if you have a record for John Mahoney? He was a corporal I think and survived changhi and the burma railway. He was with the Manchesters from pre-war and he said that his regt was a recently mechanised machine gun battalion at this time.

Sorry I don't have John Mahoney's card, I only have one "M".
Roy may be able to find him for you next time he goes to Kew.

The files are in XL97 if you are using a diferent version you may need to download the conversion programme from Microsoft.
