I am researching Cpl R L Edmands who served in the persian gulf then Italy with the manchester regiment.
I am looking for any information about his service / or his regiments WW2 persian gulf / Italian campaign history

Yes i am related to him he was my father and had a very unusual time in the service, and i would like to find out more if possible. :)

 8) There is not too much in the public domain regarding WW2 service personal, but as next of kin you can apply (foc if your Mom can apply) for his Service Record.

I have already started a look ino his military history on behalf of my mother so hopefully something will pop up. :D

Two battalions of the Regiment served in Italy during WWII - the 8th and the 9th.  It would help if you could first of all find out which one your Father served with.
