All I know about my uncle's war service is that he was out in Italy during WWII. I am guessing he was in the Manchester Regiment as he lived in Hulme. I have no other information. Am I looking for a needle in a haystack?

If anyone can give me any advice where to start it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
