Medal Rolls

Hi,
A couple of years ago I was checking up on the details of my grandfather, 4962 Ralph Thomas Campbell.
His National Roll entry says he had QSA and KSA, but I was told the medal roll only showed him as having the QSA, with the 1st Btn.
After Ladysmith, was invalided out of SA and into the 3rd Btn. He wasn't discharged until 1902.

My interpretation, from the forum reply at the time, was that he wasn't on any roll for the KSA but am I right in now thinking that we don't have access to the 3rd Btn rolls?

My brother is now putting together a medal display and I would like to make sure he gets it right
