sgt james william stamp / young

Hi All,

     I am trying to get any infomation i can
     on sgt james william stamp / young who
     served with the regiment from 1922 to 1944
     when he was transfered to the service corps.
     He served in india burma and a short term in
     egypt he was at one time in the 2nd batt.band
     and played trumpet and cornet he was also in
     the BEF.

Before replying can you please just clarify his name with you?  the slash is confusing me (not difficult!) are his Christian names James William Stamp and his surname Young or is his surname Stamp-Young?
