Hi,
I have my grandfathers trench testament.
Inside the back cover is the above information, dated Sept 28th 1915
I never met him as, although he came through the conflict,he died about 14 months before I was born.
Could anyone tell me where he served.
Regards
Neil

Cheers Chris,
Some of you lads out there may remember my uncle, Jim Blackshaw, he was in the 2nd war in the Manchesters and upto his death a few years ago regularly went to the Old Lads meetings and in fact they laid on a guard of honour at his funeral.

Hi there, I have found Eli's Medal Card. Seems to be a problem on ancestry. I shall keep trying, then upload it for you OK?
Cheers

unfortunately there's not a great deal of information there

we can see that he didn't go abroad until after 31/12/1915 and was entitled to the British War and Victory Medals

Many thanks Tisgrannie,
To see grandads MIC in black and white means so much.
I have stood at the Rememberance Service since being a small boy, but this year will seem more poignant.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them
