Martin.

Which particular era are you looking to represent with your BD?

Collars wouldn't (shouldn't) have been worn on BD from 1940 onwards, and , if you are doing the BEF of the 1940 period the shoulder titles would be a slip-on khaki tab (fixed by either an elasticated or cloth loop) with the word "Manchester" embroided on in black (it should also be the 37 pattern BD , of course). Post 1941 ('37 or '40 pattern BD), this would be replaced with the white on red coloured title (either embroidered or (more commonly) printed). The scarlet "arm of service" bar should also be applied for this particular era ....then of course there's the varied range of rank, qualification and formation insignia that can be added for post 1941 representations, etc etc.

here're a few places to look if you are purchasing...

Dave is correct in the description of CLOTH titles worn on BD.
The badge pictures shown above were NOT worn on BD in WW2.

Depending on whether you wish to represent early WW2 or late WW2 will dictate whether you choose to wear Arms of Service Stripes and Divisional badges, which, when worn together are known as combinations.

Certainly early WW2 BD was very plain in relation to insignia and late WW2 makes a much more "attractive" option for re enacting.

If you are after repros, www.divpatch.com does an excellent range of cloth badges, and for repro shoulder titles if you decide to do pre war or even KDs, Dickie Knight is your man.

Original cap badges are quite easy to come by and if you want to get on quickly, there are a number of badges of "dubious origin" on Ebay.
