This young soldier is found on a memorial in Bristol ....does anybody know anything about him please ?

On the 1901 Census there are only 2 John Barnidge yours aged 16 a Pupil Teacher living at 15 Upper Proctor Street, Bristol with
William Barnidge married 47 Leather Salesman
William Barnidge 12 Assistant in Boot Factory
James Barnidge    10
Francis Barnidge     9
Herbert Barnidge    3 all born Bristol

Wonder where Mommie is ? Can't see her elsewhere
