Trevor Sheldrake

Hello and thanks for having me.
I played with the 8th Ardwick TA band from the age of about 12 - my dad was also in the band. When I was 15, in 1956, they encouraged me to join as a 'boy' because I got paid for rehearsals and concerts (army number in title). I joined the regular army when I was 17 (Royal Signals Staff Band) where I stayed for 9 years before returning to civvy street. I have been a freelance professional musician ever since but also had a 'proper' job, retiring as an Osted inspector of colleges and education consultant.
