Hello and new enquiry ref: Man48 Home Guard WWII

Hello.
How interesting to find this dedicated site.
I am an amateur genealogist who is trying to help someone, adopted at birth and now in their late 70s, to find their biological roots.

I was surprised to locate a potential connection on "Anc*stry", among the Home Guard WWII records, the Ardwick Man48 Battalion, joining date 31 July 1943.

Will there be any further information about these gallant people to be found anywhere?
I will be hugely grateful for any help or advice.
