Pte Patrick Durkin 31400 Scots Rifles, formerly 2527 Manchester Regiment and 27945 (or 27943) Lincolnshire Regiment. Enlisted on 14/08/1914, disembarked France 25/03/1915, discharged on 31/08/1917 due to sickness and awarded SWB. Address was 1 Middleton Road, Oldham, and NOK was his sister Mary Durkin, of 15 Beatrice Street, Horwich. Disability was TB of lungs due to 80%, died at Oldham Union Workhouse from disease age 50-51. No service record, medical records on FMP show treatment for rhuematism and arthritis during service. Buried at Greenacres Cemetery plot C2.101.
