Hi all,

I'm looking into the history of the Oldham territorials after pouring over a book by Bill Mitchinson and trying to piece together my Great Grandads war record with the 1/10 battallion.

I've had a look at the war records on the kew website and was surprised to find as well as the Manchesters he appears to have served in the rfc as well.

I still have photos of him and his best pal Ernest Drinkwater who was kia in Gallipoli and I also still have his medal set pip squeak and Wilfred but really that's about it.

Any more information regarding his war service would be greatly appreciated.
