Pte 28625 Norman Dean – 26th Bn
Norman Dean was a commercial traveller when he attested under the Derby Scheme on 11/12/1915. He was mobilised to train with 26th Bn on 11/08/1916 and redesignated as 70th TRBn on 01/09/1916.  Norman was discharged with a SWB & pension for DAH on 04/03/1917.
Norman Dean died on 17/04/1920, aged 37.  He is buried at Hollinwood Cemetery. The husband of Elizabeth Dean of 10 Lincoln Street, Oldham. They had twin daughters born in 1913.  Elizabeth did not receive a pension as Norman's disease was contracted after discharge.
