Medical Officer notes "aortic and mitral valvular disease" attributable to service during the present war, "due I think to endocarditis following pulmonary complications of gassing". Died on 26/08/1919, age 33, cause not stated.
Married to Lillie Marshall at St Peter's Church, Birkdale, on 21/09/1907. Occupation was bill poster, but burial record states tram conductor. Lived at 3 Chatham Road, Southport.
