William Leaver 32475

William Leaver, 2AM 87700 RAF, service record indicates that he was previously 32475 Manchester and 23344 Loyal North Lancs prior to joining the Royal Flying Corps on 28/06/1917. He was a chauffeur before enlisting, while his burial record says he was a weaver. Married after discharge, wife's address was 7 St Austin Road, Preston, his mother was Elizabeth Alice Leaver of 4 Mellins Fold, Preston. Transferred to RAF reserve on 10/10/1919.  Died from disease n/k 08/02/1921, cause of death not known, however his service record shows a history of colitis and dysentry while serving in Mesopotamia and India between 1917 and 1919. Buried at Preston (New Hall Lane) Cemetey, RC V/20.

This case has gone forward with IFCP. The grave at Preston has no headstone.
