Pte 1646 / 375252 Fred Crossley 1/10th,19th & 17th Bn

Fred Crossley (Born 07/02/1898) disembarked at Gallipoli with 1/10th Bn on 05/05/1915 and later transferred to 19th and 17th Bn.  Fred was captured as a POW with A Coy on 28/03/1918. He was disembodied on 11/03/1919, with a pension. Fred died from disease at Westhulme Hosp on 12/12/1920, aged 22. He is buried at St Matthew’s, Chadderton. His sister, Lily, claimed a Dependent’s pension. She lived at 16 Trinity St, Oldham and was later buried in the same plot.
Cause of death and link to service is not identified.
