Pte 9733 / 252687 Ernest Christopher Higgins
Ernest Higgins served in France with 13th Bn from 07/09/1915.   Following postings to 2/6th & 2/10th Bn he was transferred to 13th Bn KLR.  Ernest died at home after discharge and was buried at Hollinwood Cemetery on 16/09/1915, aged 25. The husband of Lucy Higgins of 52 Thompson Lane, Chadderton.
