I am researching the life of Vincent Bolger.
Vincent enlisted in Liverpool on the 13th of April 1926 and was posted to the 1st Btn on the 22nd of Oct 1926 where he was sent to Germany as part of the Army of Occupation. He returned to the UK 9th Nov 1927 and in 1928 was posted to the 2nd Btn. Between Feb 1928 and Oct 1932 he servd in India where he took part in the Burma campaign. He returned to the UK in Dec 1933 where he was again posted to the 1st Btn in May 1934. He remained with the 1st Btn becoming a member of the BEF in Sept 1939 and was evacuated from Dunkirk in 1940 and there ended his links with the Manchester Regt as he was posted to the 8th Loyals and later to the 1st East Yorks where he served again in Burma. Vincent served until 1947 and after the war lived in Hyde, Cheshire where he died in 1965.
I know a great deal about Vincents life but I would really like to find a photo of him, now I know that in 1937 he undertook a boxing instructors course, that being the case he was probably in a company or Battalion boxing team if that is the case perhaps there is a team photo of him somewhere?
