There's one week to go until the living history group 'Manchester Regiment 1914-18' will be on parade at Portland Basin to commemorate the Machine Gun Corps and its 15,552 fatalities during the Great War.
On display will be a water cooled Vickers machine gun as well as the light machine rifle, the Lewis gun. The team will be on hand to demonstrate and answer any questions.
There will also be a display of related objects and archives from the Manchester Regiment collections at Portland Basin Museum. This will be on show from Friday 15th July until Sunday 4th September 2022.
