Date:  Tuesday 7th June 2011.

Title:  What did you do in the war granddad? Family History Research Sources and the Manchester Regiment.

Description:  Have you ever wondered how to find out more about your father or grandfathers time in the army?  Why not come along to this talk and learn how you can investigate your own family�s involvement with the British Army, in the twentieth century.

Duration: 45 minutes � 1 hour.

Speaker:  Mr Garry Smith (Curator of the Regimental Museum).

Title:  The Gallipoli Campaign.

Description:  Why not come along to this fascinating talk by a renowned expert on the Gallipoli Campaign and learn more about this sometimes forgotten theatre, during the First World War.  This talk will focus on the experiences of the �Tommy� on the ground and highlight in vivid detail what he endured. 

Duration: 1 hour approximately.

Speaker: Mr Peter Hart (Imperial War Museum).

Title:  The Manchester Pals (1914-1916).

Description:  Do not miss this rare opportunity to hear from the acclaimed author of �Manchester Pals: 16th, 17th 18th 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd Battalions of the Manchester Regiment�.  This talk will outline how and why the �Pals� were raised and what their experiences were during their basic training before fighting and dying on the Western Front.
