Pte Nathaniel McGeoch Simpson, 492805, Labour Corps, died after discharge on 09/06/1920 (or 10/06/1920), age 20, from pneumonia and tuberculosis. Son of Nathaniel McGeoch and Francis Mary Simpson, of 36 Waterhouse Street, Liverpool. Buried at Liverpool (Walton Park) Cemetery.  He has a legible headstone.

Pension cards only, however his headstone at Liverpool states that he was Manchester Regiment, and also has the following inscribed which I don't know the meaning of: "(L.O.L. 763 R.A.R.)"

Hi Paul,
Nathaniel Simpson served in KLR and Rifle Brigade.  I can't find a ref to the Manchesters in the pension record. https://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?dbid=1114&h=652413&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&rhSource=61588
Equally there is no ref to the LC service, so he may have renlisted??

Following one Platoon and everything around them....

The service record you've found belongs to his father (same name, also served), there are only pension cards for the son and these only mention service with the LC. So the only evidence for service with the Manchesters is the headstone. Can only speculate without further info.
