Edwin Chapman, Private 132 Manchester Regiment. Enlisted on 1 April 1908 with prior service from 1894. Served in Egypt 1914-1915, and discharged 31 March 1916 due to termination of engagement. Re-enlisted 20 April 1916 as Private 250672 Labour Corps, discharged 7 June 1919 due to sickness. Disabilities were myalgia, loss of teeth and GSW right leg. Died age 55 on 22 April 1920 from carcinoma of oesophagus, not attributable to or aggravated by service. Born in Birmingham, he was a glass engraver, of 8 Reather Street, Oldham Road, Manchester. Buried at Philips Park Cemetery, F Consecrated 1195.
