Pte Kennedy has an effects record showing he died at the Royal Infirmary, Manchester on 02/07/1921. Widow, Margaret Kennedy.  He received no War Gratuity and I can find no other records for this long served Territorial. May be James Kennedy born 1878.

Presumably James Kennedy whose death was registered at Chorlton, age 39.

This looks to me like another man who served with the Defence Force on 90 days emergency service. Quite likely he is also James Kennedy 32614 KOYLI, discharged on 19/5/1917, and died on 2/7/1921 from perforated gastric ulcer, septicaemia and bronchitis. He lived at 28 Orchard Street, Greenheys, Manchester, and his widow's name was Magaret.

Good work Paul,
This certainly appears to be the same man.  On Effects it states 8th Bn Manchester Regt DF - which i had read as WF before.  Widows Pension was not admitted & rejected on appeal, so he must have been discharged / not embodied and the ulcer was not a result of service.
