Jerry Perez was a good friend of mine in the post-war 1st Battalion.  What exactly would you like to know about him?

His "Malaya" GSM was sold on ebay a couple of months ago for a ridiculously high price.
Did you buy it?

Wasn't Major Perez in Wuppertal and Berlin first time.1949/50?  I am having a vague memory of seeing him there along with many of the other former Jap POW Vets who came back to serve with the 1st Bn.
George

sphinx

George,

Yes he was at Goslar definately around that time & went to Malaya a year before the Bn. shortly after that.

Glad to hear that, many thanks, Sphinx., but you have confused me slightly ( easy to do these day  ;D ;D) with the addition of ---" & went to Malaya a year before the Battalion, shortly after that"??
George.

sphinx

George,

He wasnt in Malaya with the 1st Bn.
He had been there over a year before they arrived, "shortly after" being at Goslar.

Trying to find out who he was attached to in that time,  Possibly Royal Malay Regiment?

regards

Thanks again Sphinx for the clarification.
George.
