Hi, I have just joined this forum. My grandad was in the Manchester Regiment and served in the Boer War, I have tried to find information about him but as he had a common name I have had no luck. Looking forward to being a member.

Was your Grandmothers name Emma? Do you know his date of birth?

His wife was Catherine and he was born 1879.

That was the information given to me by my mum, we do have a photo of him in uniform.
