Hi iain ~ Welcome Back

I know Tis will be pleased to see you (as we all are) glad to hear the books still coming along! As well as Tis' James Buckley/Gallagher can you please keep an eye out on your travels for my GGGrandfather John Buckley ~ admittedly he does seem to have been South Manchester rather than Oldham, but you never know !
1880 Sergeant John Buckley leaves the army after 31 years service
1881 Is running the Founders Arms in Salford
1891 is employed as a Military Instructor living in Urmston
1901 Schools Private Drill Instructor in Rusholme
1905 Sergeant Instructor of Gymnastics in Rusholme
Several sons were military and I have evidence that at least one was in 1st VB but never have been able to make a connection with John Buckley to a VB
yet
