Correct capbadge/collar dogs for Militia Battalions
« on: December 16, 2007, 04:11:45 PM »
Hi,
I have a couple of capbadge questions:

What was the correct capbadge/collar dogs for ORs in the Militia Battalions during the Boer War period?

What was the correct capbadge/collar dogs for ORs in the Regular Battalions during the 1903-1907 period?

Many thanks.

John

All wore the standard bi-metal Manchester City coat of arms cap badge in Service Dress with 2 loops to the rear.  Collar badges were not worn in service dress.

In full dress and walking out dress all wore the white metal sphinx over Egypt collar badge.

The only difference was that in Walking out dress the Militia Battalions wore an all white metal version of the cap badge.
