Pte 53 Joseph Ashton

Tim Bell

Pte Ashton enlisted in 5th Bttn when it was formed on 1/4/1908. He attended annual training to 1914 and embodied on 5/8/1914. He solely served at Home and was posted to 2/5th Bttn.
Joseph was att to 45th Prov Bttn when he was discharged at Margate on 17/4/1916. 177 Warrington Rd, Lower Ince, Wigan. He had been a Collier. Joseph died after discharge on 31/05/1918. Cause n/k.
