Pte 39092 Fred Nelson
Pte Nelson (B 4/8/1917) had been a Solicitors Clerk when he enlisted on 12/12/1915, aged 18y 120d. He served as a Clerk at Ashrton Barracks until his transferred to Reserve on 14/10/1916. He had Anaemia caused by chronic Dyspepsia commencing on August 1916. He was discharged for a 2nd time on 23/11/1916 suffering from Pulmonary TB that was not attributed to, or aggravated by service. Fred stated the TB was commencing in June 1916, when he undertook his medical, but this would appear inconclusive.
Son of John and Ellen Nelson of 107 Trafalgar St, Oldham.

died at his home on 12-12-1917 TB & Laryngitis.  Relationship not proven*

ime sure fred may be buried with the rest of his family in chadderton cemetery.section D5.grave 5,but hes not showing up in the online oldham burials,it may be another transcription error,does anyone have access to the register
