Pte 3095 Samuel McBride
Pte McBride enlisted had been a Stiffener when he enlisted in 3rd Bttn on 10/9/1914. He had previously served in the Lancs Fusils. Samuel was posted to serve in 8th Bttn at Home on 2/4/1915.
Discharged unfit from 4th on 26/6/1916, Samuel had Chronic Bronchitis that was not attributable or aggravated by service. The Pension was reviewed in 1917 and payment was made.
Samuel died from Pneumonia and Cardiac Syncope aggravated by active service on 2/9/1917, aged 37.
Widow Sarah Ann and four of their 6 children received a pension and 8 Egerton St, Pendleton.
