Pte 250262 Samuel Cowsill

Samuel joined 6th Bttn and solely served at home in 2/6th Bttn.  He was transferred to Working Reserve, where Samuel was employed as an electrician at Vickers in Lancaster.

Samuel died at Lancaster Infirmary on 3/8/1917, aged 23.  A blowlamp burst and Samuel was enveloped in flames.  He was working at height and fell 20ft after his clothes caught alight. Pension Records and Soldiers Effects confirm he was still serving. Reg Lancaster Q3 1917 8e/673. Buried Agecroft Cemetery.

Son of William £3/5 Gratuity and Mary Ann  Cowsill of 14 Victoria St, Lwr Broughton.

More evidence that Samuel was still serving is needed, even if the DC states this.  We need proof that he was Embodied and remained so.
