Pte 391 James Bevan
Pre Bevan enlisted at Ashton on 2/3/1905.  He served in 1st  Bttn until he was transferred to Reserve on 30/12/1912.  James re-engaged in Reserve on 31/12/1913 and he was mobilised on 5/8/1914.
James was discharged unfit from 3rd Bttn at Cleethorpes on 25/12/1914. He had Arthritis.
In May 1917, James was in Baguley Sanatorium with TB. The Medical Board found that his condition was not attributable to, or aggravated by Service.
James died from Pulmonary TB on 21/9/1917. This was not related to service.
Widow Mary Eliz & 2 sons, 42 Wood St, Gt Jackson St, Hulme. Son of John Bevan, 29 Macclesfield St, Hulme. Pension Refused.
