the only man in the manchesters with that name was private 20791 joseph Herbert,he was declared insane on 24-12-1918

Hi
Thats not my Joe Herbert. In fact 20791 belongs to George Herbert in 22nd Battalion

My Sgt Joe Herbert is 26769 21st E Coy Manchester Reg
he didn't go overseas.
