Pte Ward had enlisted on 8/10/1869. He served in 1st Bttn and received Medals for Afghan and Egyptian campaigns prior to discharge on 36/7/1883. William received a special pension award on 1916, due to poverty, aged 65. Resident Kentish Town. William died from disease on 29/1/1919.
