Pte Hill enlisted in the 28th DLI at Stockton on Tees on 3/11/1915. and served overseas from 27/7/1916-9/12/1916 and joined 16th Manchesters on 7/8/1916.
Harry was discharged from 25th Bttm, sick with SWB on 26/10/1917, aged 21 y 3m. He had a pension for Trench Foot, involving the amputation of all toes on his L foot. Originating 11/2016. Also epilepsy noted.
Harry died from disease n/k on 6/7/1918.
Parents John & Elizabeth, 5 Russel St, Thornaby on Tees, Yorks. Pension Award. Medals returned.
