Pte Black enlisted in 4th Bttn on 5/9/1914 and served overseas with 12th Bttn from 14/4/1916. He was posted to Depot on 27/7/1916.
George was discharge sick with SWB on 17/8/1916. 40 Hyde Rd, C on M. Sister Florence Eaton. He had a pension for peripheral neuritis aggravated by service.
George died of disease n/k on 30/4/1918. Medals returned and applied for in 1923.
