Pte 7592 George Doyle

Tim Bell

Pte Doyle had been a copper worker when he enlisted in 16th Bttn on 29/3/1915. He was admitted to Hosp for 3 days with debility in 10/1915 and 55 days with Bronchitis in 12/1915. He was transferred to 25th R Bttn on 30/8/1915.
George was discharged unfit from 25th Bttn at Southport on 14/4/1916. He had a Contusion of Tibia as a football injury. Pension rejected.
George died of disease n/k on 7/2/1918.
Parents James & Lily, 3 Ellison St, L Broughton. Sister Annie. Pen award.
