Pte Lee enlisted in 8th Bttn on 5/2/1914 and disembarked at Egypt on 25/9/1914. Prior to Gallipoli. He had GSW L Arm R Thigh and left foot on 4/6/1915. William was admitted to Hosp in Alexandria and returned home on 26/6/1915. Hosp in Manchester 6/8/1915.
William was discharged with SWB and pension for wounds on 17/4/1916.
William died from disease n/k on 10/7/1918.
age 21
Williams brother Mr J Lee, 63 Cuthbert Ln, Newton Heath. Medals were all returned.
