Pte 13758 Charles Littlewood
Pte Littlewood (Born Q4 1891) was a L/Cpl in 14th Bttn when he married Winifred Ellen Davis in Stretford Parish Church on 5/8/1916. He had been an iron founder in 1911. Charles served at Home. In 1917 he was a Munitions Worker, when his daughter Joan was christened on 5th August.
Charles died from Influenza and Pneumonia "contracted or commencing on active service." 30/11/1918. Reg Barton upon Irwell Q4 1918 8c/1093.
Widow, Winifred Ellen.Father of Joan born 23/7/1917.  56 North Lonsdale St, Gorse Hill, Stretford. Son of William Charles and Sarah Ann Littlewood.

Charles Littlewood's case now looks more positive as he died from disease commencing on active service.  The records indicate Charles was serving a Home posted to reserve for War Work.  IFCP to review again. Not Embodied*
