Pte 1178 Martin Dooley
Pte Dooley had been a Labourer when he enlisted and embodied in the 8th Bttn National Reserve on 25/1/1915.  Martin had previously served in the Lancs Artillery Militia. 56 Cawdor St, Hulme.
Discharged unfit from No 5 Supernumerary Coy of 8th Bttn at Roa Island, Cavendish Dock, Barrow in Furness, on 15/5/1915, Martin had Chronic Pulmonary TB aggravated by active service.
Martin died from Phthisis contracted on active service on 2/11/1915.

Widow Julia received a pension at 17 East Ave, Oxford, Warrington. It seems the pension was terminated in 1921 due to lack of verification of Martin's pre-war earnings.

DC confirms Martin Dooley died from Phithisis (TB) at the Workhouse Infirmary Withington. General Labourer of 56 Cawdor St, Hulme.
Burial record needed.

Martin Dooley is buried at Joseph's Moston. Unmarked Public Grave St Patrick's 537.

Martin Dooley's inscription on the communal headstone of a public grave has been lost, as a tree had broken off most to the names on the headstone after growing over it.  An alternative commemoration is required.
