Pte 34531 Jacob Lewis

Tim Bell

Pte Lewis enlisted on 15/2/1916 and trained with 14th Bttn.  He joined the BEF with 12th Bttn and was att to 6th LNL.
Jacob was discharged with Tub (Tuburcle) of Lung on 11/11/1916.  Aggravated by service, 60% disability.
Jacob died from disease on 16/1/1921. Cause n/k.
His mother had dependents pension, 11 Granton St, Hightown.

Jacob Lewis died at his home from pulmonary TB. A mackintosh maker journeyman. His brother, J Lewis, was present.

Jacob Lewis was accepted for commemoration today.

Jacob Lewis' burial at Blackley Jewish Cemetery was accepted this week. Plot 3537.  As the headstone has a clear inscription, the commemoration is complete.
