Pte 2/9064 Alfred Brown

Tim Bell

Pte Brown enlisted on 20/8/1903. He had previously served with 5th Lancs Fusils.  Alfred served with 3rd & 4th Bttns and Transferred to Reserve on 18/8/1906.  He was Mobilised on 5/8/1914 and joined BEF on 15/8/1914.  Alfred was wounded on 8/11/1914 and evacuated Home on 15/11/1914.
Alfred was discharged from Ashton with SWB due to sickness on 30/5/1916. He had a pension due to varicose veins.
Alfred died on 13/11/1919, due to Pulmonary TB. There is no evidence TB related to service.
