Pte 353047 Walter Hearon

Tim Bell

Pte Hearon (B 1882) had been a buyer in a shipping warehouse when he enlisted on 9/12/1915.  He  was mobilised on 21/11/1916 and trained with 3rd Bttn.  Walter served overseas with 2/9th Bttn from 4/3/1017-5/2/1918. Walter was wounded by shrapnel at Ypres on 28/11/1917. Walter was treated in CCS and Mil Hosp Bethnal Green.
Walter was discharged on 12/6/1918. GSW attrib. Epilepsy undiagnosed.

Widow Edith, 48 Norton St, Old Trafford, later 42 Norton St, Brooks Bar.. Pension approved.
