Pte Melia enlisted on 9/9/1914 and served overseas with 9th & 13th Bttns with BEF (6/9/1915), Salonika & home.
Joseph was injured in accident (kicked by mule)  on 17/11/1917. He had a fractured tibia.
Joseph was transferred to reserve  on 26/2/1919. Pension  due to the tibia.
Joseph died from Lobar Pneumonia on 1/12/1919.
Widow Annie Mary. 3 children born 1908-14. 6 Rutland St, Hulme.
age 32
