Pte Ward (born 1888) enlisdted in 24th Bttn on 24/6/1915, with 4 yrs previous service in Vols. He served overseas from 1915 and was Demob on 31/3/1919.
George died on 19/10/1919. Cause unknown.
Widow Harriet and 2 children 505 Manchester Rd, Shaw.  Son of William & Nancy Ward, 80 High St, Shaw.
Following one Platoon and everything around them....
